Players will be awarded points in the following manner:
Participation - 10 points
Win one round - 20 points
Finalist - 7 bonus points
Win the division - 19 points
Examples:
1-John Smith participates in one of the series and loses in the first round. He receives 10 points for that tournament.
2-John Smith participates in one of
the series and wins his first round but loses in the second round. He
receives 10 points for participation and 20 points for winning a round.
Total of 30 points for that tournament.
3-John Smith participates in one of
the series and gets to the finals where he loses. He receives 10 points
for participation and 20 points for winning a round. He also receives 7
bonus points for reaching the finals. Total of 37 points for that
tournament.
4-John Smith participates in one of
the series and wins the division. He receives 10 points for
participation, 20 points for winning a round, and 19 points for winning
the division. Total of 49 points for that tournament.
Byes do not count as a round won
except for series tiebreakers (see below). You must actually play a
match and win to receive points for a round won.
You must play in at least 2 of the
three tournaments to be eligible for the championship in your division.
You will be allowed to play the same division in all three of the
series even if you have been moved out of that division by the
requirements of the NCRA. You must play in your currently required
division in all other NCRA tournaments.
Tiebreakers after all tournaments are played are as follows:
1-If the players tied played a head
to head match during the series the winner of the head to head will be
declared the champion.
2-If no head to head match, then the
player that won the most rounds of the series will be declared the
champion. Byes are not considered a round won.
3-If a tie still exists, then the
player that advanced the furthest in each tournament of the series will
be declared the champion.
4-If a tie still exists, then byes will be counted as a round won in tiebreaker #2
